LD250/LD750. Universal hardness testers for Vickers, Rockwell, Superficial Rockwell and Brinell hardness test methods in compliance with ASTM and ISO hardness standards. LD 250 and LD750 are top level bench hardness testers for fully automatic test cycles including indentation autoreading through the high resolution camera. Entirely motorized and equipped with an automatic turret with indenters and magnification lenses. The instrument allows for hardness measuring in different hardness scales with just one tester, without the need of several testers in own laboratory. Load forces are applied through load cells and electronically controlled in Closed Loop (Pat. Affri). Wide touchscreen for easy test planning and a clear view of results. Statistics and charts are automatically generated and can be stored with test sessions in the large archive. User friendly interface with conversion tables and round correction values for tests on covex cylindrical surfaces or various diameters. Hardness tests on all metals: iron, steel, tempered steel, cast iron, brass, aluminum, copper and metal alloys. Heat treatment, hardening, nitriding, cementation and hardfacing. Knoop test on ceramic and glass materials.

The hardness tester’s head moves down until contact is made, clamps the piece, applies the force and make the indentation. The software will move to the camera view mode where the indent is automatically measured.
CLOSED LOOP (PAT. AFFRI)
Closed loop load cells control load forces with a frequency of 1 khz, assuring perfect linearity in every range. Results are not affected by any structural deflection, misalignment or vibration.
MOTORIZED HEAD
Automatic movements with automatic stop when contact is made. Up to 300 mm of motorized vertical stroke. The approach of the head to the peace and not the opposite allows more accurate, scable and safe measurements.
WIDE WORKHOLDER
Supports masses beyond 2000 kg and special fixtures or anviling. Hardness measurements on bulky and irregular test pieces which cannot be easily reached by the regular bench hardness testers.
CLAMPING SYSTEM (PAT. AFFRI)
Secure contact with the specimen is always mantained, even in the unlikely event of any specimen movement during the operation cycle. The clamping system assures perfect stability of any test piece throughout the test cycle.
MOTORIZED TURRET (INDENTER/OBJECTIVE)
One slot for an indenter and one slot for an objective. Auto-rotating and auto-tool-switching for a complete automatic measurement cycle.

The preinstalled software controls the whole instrument avoiding setting errors or operators mistakes:
